  • Open door: Close door and check catch clamping force
  • Electrical microswitch malfunction: Check for proper operation or correct position of the coupling
  • Air connection cock closed: Open the cock
  • Blasting valve malfunction: Replace the valve
  • Blasting pedal malfunction: Replace the pedal
  • No grit: Open cabin door and introduce grit in the hopper

  • Not enough air or no air at all: Check that there is air in line, that the valve is open and that blasting pressure is equal to or above 1 bar
  • Impurities in the lug, grit delivery tube, gun body: Carefully clean
  • Air delivery wrong position: Check that it is screwed by 3 threads
  • Worn delivery jet: Replace delivery jet
  • Worn nozzle: Replace the nozzle
  • Worn out gun body: Replace gun body
  • Worn grit delivery tube: Replace the tube
  • Presence of humidity in the cabin: Check for the presence of water/oil in the pneumatic system. Be sure to work with dry/degreased parts
  • Pierced mixing lug: Replace the lug
  • Air inlet chimney clogged: Check that the air inlet chimney at the rear of the machine is free of obstructions
  • Hopper bottom obstructed: Remove any debris/clogging from hopper bottom
  • Cartridge cleaning cycle to be adjusted: Check that the automatic cartridge cleaning cycle is working properly (adjust cleaning pressure to 3 Bar and close the machine door)
  • Clogged filter tissue of the cartridge: Replace the cartridge
  • Check the correct opening of the damper/valve of the suction filter
  • Broken cartridge: Replace the cartridge
  • Cartridge compartment closing door not correctly closed: Close the door
  • The dust collection container is not correctly closed: Close the container
  • The cartridge compartment closing door gasket no longer has a seal: Replace the gasket
  • Blasting pressure too high: Lower the pressure
  • Always fill the tank with clean, dry abrasive
  • Do not clean sand containers with solvents
  • Adjust the tank pressure using the regulator (1) to between 3-6 bar, as required
  • To adjust the pressure, lift regulator knob and turn it. Once the required value has been set, press the knob to lock it.
  • Loosen plug (2) and fill the tank with the desired abrasive up to about 1-2 cm from the edge of the tube. Make sure that the grain size of the abrasive corresponds to the value indicated on the tank itself; then screw the plug back on.
  • Microblast is delivered with three different sizes of blasting nozzles (diameters Ø0.8-Ø1-Ø1.2mm). Each nozzle is associated with a different distributor. To ensure device correct operation, avoid configurations between nozzle and distributor other than those recommended.
  • Different nozzle sizes allow using different grain sizes of the shot particulate: the greater the diameter, the greater the size of the shot particulate.

BLASTING NOZZLE SIZE

Ø 0.8 – Grain from 50 to 80 microns
Ø 1.0 – Grain from 90 to 125 microns
Ø 1.2 – Grain from 150 to 250 microns

  • Dirty or worn nozzle: Remove nozzle and free hole or replace if worn.
  • Sand accumulates in the nozzle feed pipe: Disassemble micro-nozzle from pipe and give a light pedal stroke to free it from sand.
  • Dirty or damp grit: Empty the microblast and replace the grit with new material.
  • No air supply: Check the opening and operation of the pressure regulator. If it does not work, replace it.

The nozzle is the part subject to the greatest wear. To replace it, simply remove the polyurethane cover (1) and loosen the nozzle (2), replacing it with the spare part.

  • The air flowing out of the nozzles is not ionised: Check that the ioniser is switched on and check that the nozzles are connected to the power unit
  • No air comes out of the nozzles: Check that there is air in the line, that the valve is open and that the pressure regulation devices are open and working.
  • Check that the door is closed (or close it if left open), then check correct catch clamping force.
  • Check for possible malfunctioning of the electrical microswitch and that the microswitch coupling has been correctly inserted.
  • Check that the air connection cock is closed. If it is, please open it.
  • Check that the blasting valve is not malfunctioning. In case of wear, replace it.
  • Check that the blasting pedal is not malfunctioning. In case of wear, replace it.

The filtering cartridge has a life cycle of 500-600 blasting hours. When the differential pressure switch indicates a value of 20-30 mm, the cartridge should be replaced. The cartridge can be compromised by working in the presence of water, oil and grease and we recommend its replacement.

For proper use, it is advisable not to put more than 10 kg into the hopper.
